From 1999 till 2002 the club organised the Max Club Jazz Festival with the parallel Max Jazz Club Clinic, a series of workshops for young jazz musicians led by the late percussionist Boško Petrović. In March 2012 the club renewed the festival under the curatorship of saxophonist and composer [[Jure Pukl Quartet|Jure Pukl]] and producer [[Marko Kolšek]] within the Velenje Festival under the leadership of [[Maribor, European Capital of Culture 2012]]. In March 2012 traditional jazz, some progressive copyright projects, blues, and electronic music were heard on the festival.
