The journal Monitor ISH is published by the Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis (ISH) biannually since 2001. It is aimed to publish recent and relevant articles, discussions in Humanities and Social Sciences, from Anthropology to Linguistics. The articles are published in Slovenian, English, Serbian and French.


The journal publishes articles by professors and students dealing with the diverse range of topics in different disciplines. In 2007 and 2008 there have been published two special issues of Monitor ISH: Martin Jaigma - If thou lackest knowledge, what hast thou acquired? on Social Mobility of Estonian and Slovenian Jewish Communities in the Late 19th and Early 20th Centuries; and Alahove neveste ('The brides of Allah) by Marjana Harcet on the position of women in Islam.
