Launched in 1993, the Primorska Summer Festival, Koper-Capodistria presents recent productions by Slovene repertory theatres to the audiences of the Slovene coastal towns of Koper-Capodistria and Piran-Pirano. Many theatre plays are performed in the streets and town squares. In Summer 2007 the festival was dedicated to Molière. The programme presented Molière's plays that were staged at the Slovene National Theatre (SNG) Maribor, Slovene National Theatre (SNG) Nova Gorica and Koper Theatre, at the Slovene Permanent Theatre Trieste-Trst, and the performance Molière directed by B Novakovič Kolenc, Muzeum Institute).
