Ralo Open Air Museum was founded in 1998 by Vladimir Primec after collecting ethnological exhibits - farming tools and machinery - for several years. It is named after a ralo (ard), a hook-shaped branch whose sharpened end was used to loosen and break up the soil.

The museum is located in the open air on the owner's farm. Over 300 farming machines and tools (including manual and engine-driven threshing machines, horse-drawn mowers, sprayers and ploughs) are exhibited including a rich collection of farming tools of all kinds.
