The Slovenian Chamber Music Theatre Society was established in 1926 with a purpose to stage chamber and theatre music works from all periods, especially ones form Baroque and modern works. Its members are mostly famous Slovenian musicians and actors, such as Mirjam Kalin, Andrej Debevc, Tomaž Habe, Marko Hribernik and Andrej Misson.

The society promotes new chamber musical and theatre works from Slovene composers and text writers. They are also very open for cooperation with organisations and institutions that want to cooperate with their production.


Programme

The Slovenian Chamber Music Theatre Society has a permanent programme that consists worldly known works by famous composers, such as Der Schauspieldirektor by Mozart, La cambiale di matrimonio by Rossini and La Lecon de chant electromagnetique by Offenbach. Their newest programme offers Gian Carlo Menotti's comic opera The Telephone and Leonard Bernstein's opera Trouble in Tahiti.

Publishing

There are already four publications that the society has published. Three of them (Faces of Slovene Ballet in 2008, Characteristic dances in 2005 and Slovene literate works on Music Theatre Stage in 2004) were written by Henrik Nuebauer and one by Lidija Sotlar (Memories of a Ballerina in 2006).
