Since 2012, the headquarters, custodians' offices and [[Goriška Museum Library|library]] have been situated in the villa's complex and some further extensions are planned.

==The villa==
Villa Bartolomei is a two-storey building with a preserved late-Baroque exterior, which is especially obvious from the northern façade: the central axis is accentuated by a massive stone portal on the ground floor and a balcony on the first floor. In 1980, the building, damaged by the 1976 earthquake, was allocated to the [[Goriška Museum]] to arrange a collection of recent history there. One year later, the interior was renovated according to plans by architect [[Bogdan Mikuž]] and converted into museum exhibition rooms.
