Viva, the Zagorje Youth Wind Orchestra, was founded in 1992 at Zagorje Music School in order to promote young talents. It comprises around 80 musicians and has given several radio and television performances in Hartberg, Graz, Tieschen, Voelkermarkt (Austria), Livorno, Riva del Garda, Azzano Deccimo (Italy), Ostrava (Czech Republic), Larvik (Norway) and Chicago (USA), as well as performing locally and at the Slovene Philharmonics Halls in Ljubljana. The world-famous artists James Galway and Carlos Kleiber paid visits to the Viva orchestra in 1996 and 1997. It was awarded golden medals at international music competitions in Germany in 1998, in Hungary in 1998 and in Italy in 1997 and 2000. To date Viva has produced three CDs.
