Since 1997 a regular artists' colony has taken place in the small pleasant village of Medana in the Goriška Brda wine region, which is internationally known for its Days of Poetry and Wine Medana. The tourist homestead, owned by Aleks Klinc, hosts around 30 artists from numerous countries (Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Spain, USA and Chile). During their stay at Medana the artists prepare some solo shows as well as group exhibitions at the nearby homesteads (Ščurek, Movia), while their new art works are presented at Artes Gallery and Nova Gorica City Gallery as well as abroad (e.g., at the Krmin Teatro Comunale Jazz and Wine Festival, Italy).
