TV Maribor - Tele M is the Television Programme Unit of the RTV Slovenia Regional Broadcasting Centre Maribor. Television broadcasting from Maribor actually began in 1968 when a TV Slovenia correspondence office for the Podravje region was established here. Following the construction of the RTV Slovenia Regional Broadcasting Centre Maribor TV Maribor and Radio Maribor were united in one building. TV Maribor can be received all over the north east via a terrestrial signal, and throughout Slovenia via cable.

TV Maribor enjoys a degree of autonomy within RTV Slovenia. It covers regional news for TV Slovenia's news programmes and submits longer contributions for inclusion in the weekly programmes of TV Slovenia, including the popular Osmi dan ('Eight Days'). It also produces a series of programmes on gardening, people and animals. It produces the daily one-hour information programme and offers regular coverage of sports events and festivals within the region. TV Maribor creates around 18,000 minutes of its own programmes annually.
