Publishing programme

MK offers extensive and varied coverage of poetry, prose, and professional literature. However, its most significant publishing and research project is without doubt the Encyclopaedia of Slovenia, which was issued in 16 volumes.

The Kondor collection of prose works, referred to as a Slovenian Penguin Classics, was launched six decades ago, in 1956, and has reached around 350 books. Still popular is also the Nova slovenska knjiga collection that was launched in 1971. The collection Lirika was established in 1970, and today includes over 150 titles of world poetry translations.
