Situated on the edge of Kamnik, a lively medieval town in Central Slovenia, Kotlovnica (Slovene for 'boiler room') Youth Centre was established in 2007. It has been promoting music, culture, health, sports, education and addressing social, housing, employment and youth mobility issues ever since.
Programme and activities
Kotlovnica is dedicated to the strengthening of an active lifestyle and offers a space for free exchange of ideas, knowledge and culture. It is first and foremost a youth organisation that is run by the Cultural Hall of Kamnik and located in their underground story. Kotlovnica operates with a steady programme of concerts, workshops (video, photography, language courses, stage engineering), lectures and it aims to inform, impart knowledge and experience, develop positive attitudes and encourage free-time social gatherings of the young. They also tackle social issues, mobility of the young, their health, housing and employment opportunities (at home and abroad).
