Keeps the records of real-estate cultural heritage on the land of Republic Slovenia. Archived documents that date before year 1913 were recorded by Central Committee for Research and Protection of Build Monuments of Austro-Hungarian Royal Imperial Archives from Vienna. Between 1913 and 1919 records were kept by Central Committee For Protection Of Monuments In Carnolia. Later on state or republic authorities of Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1919 - 1941) and Socialist Yugoslavia (1945 - 1991) were following in documenting. INDOK keeps only records on national important monuments, others are kept in regional Institutes for the protection of Cultural Heritage that were established from year 1957 until 1981. Because of the content, age and uniqueness, most documents archived in INDOK, submit to special status of state archival protection. Depending on the nature and material of the documents different archives are formed: Photo archives, archive of urbanistic plans, building and renovation plans, paper documents, contracts, conservation and restoration elaborates, database of legal acts. Documents are being digitalized and database on real-estate cultural heritage is being updated into information database system of cultural heritage.
