Slovenian Days in Milan, organised by the Government Communication Office and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia Rome
Within the Office there are two departments - the Department for Relations with the Domestic Media is responsible for communication between the domestic and international media and the Slovene and foreign public, while the Department for Communications Projects is responsible for organising and conducting ministerial communications campaigns relating to the most important programmes and projects of the Government. The Government Communication Office also includes the General Affairs Service.
The Office provides general informative and promotional publications which present Slovenia. This material is mostly in English, although certain publications are produced in other languages in line with needs. The information is available also at Slovenia.si, "a gateway to information on Slovenia", while a fortnight e-newsletter Slovenia News brings short news about economy, politics, environment as well as culture or sports.
Facts about Slovenia, a detailed and up-to-date 100-page introduction to Slovenia in English, French, German and Russian with colour photographs, diagrams and a map of Slovenia, has been up-dated regularly and is also available online in pdf format.
Since November 2004 the monthly magazine Sinfo Magazine has brought news from Slovenia on politics, environment, culture, business and sports.
Culture.si offers information on Slovene cultural producers, venues, festivals and support services, all in one place. It encourages international cultural exchange in the fields of arts, culture and heritage. The portal and its content is owned and funded by the Ministry of Culture, funded by the European Union Recovery and Resilience Plan and developed by Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory.
