Šivec House is a listed bourgeois house dating from the mid-16th century, located in the historic centre of Radovljica. With its rich outer and interior architectural appearance, it is an outstanding example of late Gothic architecture. Following restoration, all of its original beauty has been revealed: the facade with its frescoes and exquisitely-designed detailing; the interior with its colonnaded entrance hall on the ground floor and smoke kitchen, granary and representative living quarters on the first floor. The room is used as a Wedding Hall and the colonnaded entrance hall is used as an art gallery. The gallery prepares eight to 10 exhibitions annually, mainly of a contemporary nature, and is also the initiator of research into and popularisation of Slovene illustration as a field of visual arts. A selection of Slovene illustrations is available as a touring exhibition. | Šivec House is a listed bourgeois house dating from the mid-16th century, located in the historic centre of Radovljica.
