Big Foot Mama was originally established in 1990 as a grammar school ensemble which specialised in classic rock 'n' roll music (Rolling Stones, The Cult, Black Crowes) - during its early years it featured guitarist Miha Guštin-Gušti, who later launched his own career. In January 1991 the band adopted the name Big Foot Mama and after their third album Tretja dimenzija (The Third Dimension), they were considered the rock/pop band of the decade, breaking sales records in the rock category and selling out some of the biggest venues in the capital Ljubljana such as Križanke and Hala Tivoli, which had previously been considered as unconquerable for Slovene rock bands.

Their current line up is Grega Skočir - vocals; Daniel Gregorič - guitars; Alen Steržaj - bass; Jože Habula - drums; and Zoran Čalić - guitars.
