[[Days of Comedy]] was inaugurated by the [[Slovene People’s Theatre (SLG) Celje]] in [[established::1992]]. Over the nearly three decades of its existence, the festival rapidly outgrew its local context, evolving into the foremost event within the comedy genre in Slovenia. It showcases high-quality productions from both institutional and non-institutional Slovene theaters. Held annually in March, the festival's side program encompasses performances, concerts, and foreign productions. }}

==Programme and awards==

The program of the [[Days of Comedy]] is curated by a selector and includes both a competition and a side program. Performances in the competition program vie for [[Gracious Comedy Awards]] in four categories: gracious comedy performance, gracious comedy director, and two gracious actors (male and female). These awards are bestowed by the expert jury. Additionally, the festival presents the [[Gracious Comedy Feather Award]] for the best original Slovene comedy text. This award is given biannually and is selected by the jury appointed by the [[Slovene People’s Theatre (SLG) Celje]]. Furthermore, the festival features the Audience Award for the best comedy.
