After four years of undergraduate studies, it was possible to study an MA in Visual Communication Design, Industrial Design and Applied Arts, yet in the academic year 2011/2012
there will be no enrolment into postgraduate study programmes due to the change to the Bologna programme. The new postgraduate study programmes (2nd and 3rd cycle Bologna programmes) shall start in the academic year 2012/2013 only.
The Department offers workshops to students in Kaverljag (design, cf Kaverljag Summer Workshops), Liboje and Komenda (ceramics) and Rogaška Slatina (glass design), sometimes including international guest speakers. One of the most popular and widely attended is the typographic workshop TipoBrda.
International cooperation
Since 1995 the Department has been a member of the Ceepus international student/teachers exchange network. The faculty permanent cooperation with numerous academies and faculties is evolving also within the programmes Socrates, Erasmus, and similar programmes. The Department has participated regularly in the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) and ICOGRADA congresses, as well as in international design exhibitions and competitions.
