Founded in 1961, the Library of the Department of Musicology has grown over the years into the central musicological library in Slovenia. Organisationally it is linked with the Faculty of Arts Central Humanities Library. The Library is housed within the Department of Musicology (room 534) and comprises 15.000 units of diverse material concerning music, such as books, periodicals, printed and written music, as well as audio and video materials. The library has a modest reading room for six, computers that offer access to the COBISS - Slovene Virtual Library catalogue and the use of other electronic sources, as well as two seats for listening purposes.
