The Festival of Independent Film and Video was established in 1996 by the Cineast Cultural and Artistic Association. For the next 10 years it took place in Ljubljana and it brought attention to the Slovene amateur film production. Later it moved to Domžale and changed its name in Festival of Independent Cinema. It is organised by Cultural Associations CUT! and MILF with the support of the Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia.
