Poster Festival Ljubljana was established in 2009 to communicate to a global audience important socio-political messages through the medium of posters. The 1st festival took place in May, consisting of five main events on the topic of Climate Change: Competition in poster design, Workshop for students in poster design and Eco debate. Works of the two main exhibitions were presented in a printed catalogue as well: Masterpieces, exhibition of socio-political posters by international poster designers and Coexistence, a traveling exhibition from Poland.
