Puna Syndicate first appeared on the Slovene experimental electronic scene in 2004. Miha Klemenčič (also of Random Logic) and Tomaž Šuštar (who under the moniker Jadviga released the album Nonim for Rx-tx) then joined their forces for a series of live acts that soon led them outside Slovenian borders. Their live performances include appearances at the Rencontres Sources Ouvertes (Tours, France), Exit (Novi Sad, Serbia), Karlsplatz (Vienna, Austria), La Batie (Geneva, Switzerland), Nuit Blanche (Paris, France) and ISEA festivals, and participation in the multimedia performance Signal-Sever! by Projekt Atol Institute at the Futuresonic Festival (Manchester, UK).

Their first track appeared in 2004, on a compilation by Rx-tx, which later also released their album EP in 2006. Their sound could be best described as dubby, abstract hip hop, it's sterile production accompanied by live percussion and some vinyl scratches.
