In Autumn 2003 the Australia-based private college School of Audio Engineering (SAE) - one of the largest network of education centres co-organised with academic partner Middlesex University from Great Britain - is dedicated to audio and media programmes (41 schools around the world) has launched its Slovene educational programmes in the field of audio and electronic music production.


Programme

So far, along with RTV Slovenia the Institute is the only institution that provides systematical education for future professionals in the audio production and the media. Programmes at SAE offer practical training in Audio Engineering and Electronic Music Production. The Audio Engineering track is a two-year programme and aimed for future professionals in the field. After completing the first and the second year, the student receives Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Audio Production (Middlesex University). The short course of Electronic Music Production is aimed for future proffesionals in the industry of electronically generated music.

Support

Courses at SAE are taught in English, they also offer language support in Slovenian and Croatian. The Institute is providing free studio productions and technichal equipment for bands and artists from Slovenia and the region.
