The Embassy has been working on a one-month Bilateral Focus held all over venues in Slovenia since 2001. Its aim was to promote economic solutions, trade, arts and culture from the Netherlands in Slovenia. Events during October were involved companies, cinemas, schools, faculties and art institutions from Ljubljana and major Slovenian towns. After ten successful years the October event was held for the last time in 2011.
However, the Embassy is still strongly present in promoting design, both industrial and graphic. In 2012 is supported the 22nd edition of Biennial of Design (BIO) at the Museum of Architecture and Design, entitled Design relations and curated by Margo Konings and Magriet Vollenberg.
