This private collection of antiques was gathered by Alojz Grubelnik during his field inspections of the hunting preserve in this area of the Pohorje between the 1970s and the present. More than 2,000 objects of an ethnological nature originate from the environs of Ribnica na Pohorju (Janževski vrh, Orlica, Hudi kot, Josipdol) and bear witness to the way of life in the Pohorje from the early 20th century until the Second World War. Special attention is given to the collection of glass products from Pohorje glassworks and an extensive shoemaker's collection. The collection has been open to the general public since 1987, when a wooden building in the form of a treasure-chamber was constructed for it.
