The interactive [[Lipizzaner Museum Lipikum]] was opened at the [[Lipica Stud Farm|Equestrian Park Lipica]] in [[established::2011]]. It complements the visitors' experience by a set of attractive displays presenting the origins of a horse species, the horse-related mythical creatures invented by men, the Lipizzaner breed, its life-cycle, and the Lipica Stud Farm's history. An interesting feature is also a map locating the operating Lipizzaner stud farms in the world.

==Background==
The museum is a final result of the 2005 Lipica Museum Project funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, the EEA Financial Mechanism, and the [[Ministry of Culture]]. The permanent exhibition was conceived by [[Taja Vovk van Gaal]] (otherwise the leader of the academic project team of the House of European History in Brussels) and interpreted by architect [[Sanja Jurca Avci]]. The content was contributed also by the [[Goriška Museum]], [[Technical Museum of Slovenia]] and [[Slovenian Museum of Natural History]].
