Originally established in 1913, the Logatec Brass Orchestra was revived in the 1990s and received two Golden Plaques at the International Competition of Brass Orchestras in Ostrava, Czech Republic in 1995 and 2001. It was also awarded the Golden Plaque at the National Competition of Concert Playing in Velenje in 2003 and at the International Competition of Concert Playing in Velenje in 2004, where 12 orchestras from Austria, Italy, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia competed.


The Orchestra's CD Africa includes compositions by Mojmir Sepe, John Warrington, Kees Vlak, Nicolai Rimsky Korsakov, Pavel Stanek, Josef Zawinul, David Clayton Thomas, Robert W Smith, George Gershwin and Henk Van Lijschooten, and its second CD features a live concert by Logatec Brass Orchestra in the Slovene Philharmonics Halls.
