Max Club in Velenje, operating since 1991, organizes and hosts concerts of various genres. Among appearances of Slovene and some foreign rock and pop music artists (BAJAGA, Virgin, Partibrejkers, Rambo Amadeus, Miladojka Youneed, Peter Lovšin, Magnifiko, Anja Rupel, Strelnikoff, Defunkt, Candy Dulfer with Funky Stuff) an important part of club’s concert activities is directed to Jazz music. In 1999 the club organized its first Max klub Jazz festival which took place until 2002. Parallel to the festival there was also an educational workshop Max Jazz Club Clinic for young jazz artists led by Boško Petrović.
