Launched in March 2003, Slovenia Times is a free fortnightly English-language newspaper which covers all aspects of Slovene society, from politics and business to culture and sports. Its print-run is 10,000 copies and these are distributed at Ljubljana Airport, in hotels, at conferences and in a range of other public places. Around 75 per cent of the newspaper's readership is made up of foreign visitors, foreign business people and diplomats living in Slovenia, while the remaining 25 per cent comprises Slovene business people. Approximately 2,000 citizens of the EU, the United States and Canada are officially registered as living in Slovenia and many more have made Slovenia their temporary, yet unofficial home.

The paper features interviews with ambassadors and their family members, features about the expatriate community, a classified section designed to promote the exchange of goods and services, and a special online forum offering all kinds of advice. The cultural section comprises two pages - one is dedicated to the thematic presentation of Slovene culture, while the other informs readers about forthcoming events (festivals, concerts, exhibitions, screenings, fairs, etc).
