The Society for Textile and Fashion Design (SOTO) [Društvo za sodobno oblikovanje tekstilij in oblačil] was established in 2004 and promotes the contemporary fashion design by its members. It regularly presents their projects at referential international stages and organises selling exhibitions and fashion shows.

Its most significant project to date was the travelling exhibition entitled Any Sharp Objects? which presented 19 textile and fashion designers and won the Trend Award in 2005 for fashion design. It was shown in Arnheim and Zoetermeer (NL), Luxembourg (LU), Chicago and New York (US), Ljubljana (SI), Sarajevo (BA) and Berlin (DE), Helsinki (FI) and Athens (GR) in 2005–2007. SOTO also published the catalogue Any Sharp Objects? In 2007 the SOTO conceived the exhibition Family Ties shown at International Centre of Graphic Arts, Ljubljana.
