The School of Humanities at the University of Nova Gorica was established in 2006. It offers undergraduate study programmes in Cultural History and Slovene Studies, as well as masters programmes in Cultural History, Slovene Studies – Linguistics and Literary Science, and an international masters programme in Migration and Intercultural Relations.

Faculty members also participate in two PhD programmes offered by the Graduate School; one in Comparative Studies of Ideas and Cultures, and the other in Linguistics.

The School of Humanities also offers "open" language courses of Slovenian and foreign languages (English, Italian, German, French, Spanish) for students and others.
