The Slovenian Organization of Authors and Publishers for Reproduction Rights (SAZOR) was founded in 2003 by three founding members: Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS), Slovenian Authors' Society (ZAMP) and Slovene Association of Literary Translators.
The organization acts as a collective management institution for distribution of the remuneration to the entitled parties and members, especially aimed for authorship rights of written texts (literature, articles, studies, handbooks, etc.) The organization represents over 500 authors (writers, journalists, composers, authors of scientific or educational texts, photographers, illustrators, playwrights) and over 20 publishers in different media.
International cooperation
Since 2007 the organization is a full member of International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations (IFRRO). The IFRRO is located in Brussels and has over 50 members world-wide.
In October 2011 IFRRO World Congress and the 40th IFRRO Annual General Meeting will be held in Ljubljana and hosted by Slovenian Organization of Authors and Publishers for Reproduction Rights (SAZOR).
