Ana Pupedan from Pivka started to perform at openings of exhibitions, in country pubs, clubs and outdoors in 1992. Later they performed all around Slovenia with their critical songs mixed with ethno melos (eg at Novi Rock 1994, KUD France Prešeren Arts and Culture Association, CRMK Nova Gorica, M&KC Koper Youth and Culture Centre, KGB Nova Gorica, Nada Žagar Youth Club (MKNŽ) Ilirska Bistrica, Bela krajina Youth Cultural Club (MKK Črnomelj), B-51 Cultural Society, Metelkova mesto Autonomous Cultural Zone, Dakota DC-3 Ljubljana, Luxor Nova Gorica, Palma Ljubljana and Life Domžale). They have also played concerts in Macedonia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, the USA and Ukraine. An ethno variant of their music has been performed by an Ana Pupedan alias band called Ante Upedanten Banda. As of 2007 the band has recorded three CDs - Anje Pupedanju, 1995, Ante prupagandni balar, 1998 and the most recent, nameless album which was made at Pivka House of Culture. The band members of Ana Pupedan are: Simon Avsec - voice, Boštjan Požar - guitar, Peter Žnidaršič - bass and Marko Doles - percussion.
