Established in 2010, Association for Contemporary Arts X-OP engages in an array of contemporary arts projects. The organisation has successfully joined the EU Program Creative Europe. One of the two projects is Other Words initiated by the Donostia Culture from San Sebastian in the Basque Country. A four year long project that connects 'small' and minority languages through literary productions and residences sets off in 2015. Other partners involved are Youth Forum from Bitola (Macedonia), Foras na Gaeilge from Ireland and Tresoar from Friesland (Netherlands). The Association X-OP is hosting Ekaitz Goienetxea, a young Basque author from Bermeo, Bay of Biscay, on a two-month residency in Maribor.
