Each regional archives focuses on maintaining and preserving archival items related to the greater region which it serves, covering the country from the east (Ptuj – Drava region; Maribor – Lower Styria region; Celje – Savinja statistical region) to the centre (Ljubljana – Notranjska) and the west (Nova Gorica – Gorizia and Koper – Coastal-Karst).
