The Multimedia Centre of Dolenjska has been active since late 2003 within the framework of LokalPatriot Institute. It functions as a regional multimedia centre and is part of the M3c Multimedia Centres Network of Slovenia.

Digital culture has already made considerable strides among the local population, thereby ensuring the centre's popularity. Visitors can use new hardware and software for their own non-profit projects or participate in a range of creative and educational projects organised by the centre. A cybercafé is available at LokalPatriot which also runs the regional multimedia web portal Dolenjska.info.

The MCD offers space, technical equipment and IT assistance to the regional festivals such as the Fotopub Festival of Documentary Photography that each year produces videos about the festival, exhibitions and video clips made by workshop participants.
