Organised by Fičo Balet, the PLESkavica Festival kicked off in 2010 and questioned the format of performing arts festivals already in its second edition under the title De-festivalization+Re-festivalization.

In 2012, two contemporary dance festivals – the PLESkavica Festival, the Ukrep - Festival of Dance Perspectives – and the international platform Modul-dance joined and reflected on their concepts and positions at the CoFestival held at the Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture. The 2nd edition of the CoFestival took place in June 2013 with the theme "The Art of Co-Living".
