The beginnings of the band [[Tide]] date back to [[established::1998]]. At that time, while working as a studio musician in Amsterdam, [[Kevin Koradin]] formed a rock band with an international cast and started writing music for it. With time the band has changed its line-up and then released their début album in 2005. They play straight-ahead hard rock music that can also slide into a slightly more grunge, new wave or indie sounding songs, which are all sung in English.

Kevin Koradin in Matej Batelič sta sodelovala pri skupini »Revolver«, Kevin kot glavni kitarist in tekstopisec, Matej pa kot basist. Peter Kokotec je bil prvotno član punk zasedbe imenovane »Valter brani Sarajevo«.

evin je leta 1998 zapustil Slovenijo in odšel v Amsterdam, kjer je delal kot studijski glasbenik. Tam je spoznal danskega bobnarja, Mikkela Brinka, pri snemanju demo posnetkov pa se je obema pridružil še Kenji Hino, priznan japonski basist (njegov oče je izredno priznan jazzist Terumasa Hino). Kasneje istega leta sta Kevin in Mikkel v Copenhagnu sestavila novo skupino. K sodelovanu sta iz Slovenije povabila še Mateja in tako je nastal rock trio, ki pomeni uradni začetek skupine Tide.Najprej so posneli nekaj demo posnetkov, nato pa odšli na Florido, kjer so imeli nekaj koncertov. Po krajšem izletu v New York so se vrnili v Amsterdam, kjer so se začeli snemanti svoj prvi album. Ko je bil album končan, pa je Mikkel zapustil skupino in se vrnil na Dansko.

The band, when still in its beginning set-up, has already had a few concerts in Florida in Netherlands. After moving to Slovenia, Tide played at numerous rock festivals ([[Njoki summer festival]], [[Festival Lent]], [[Rock Otočec]], [[Zmaj 'ma mlade Festival]], [[Gra(n)d Rock Sevnica]]...) and clubs. They toured with [[Siddarta]] and were warm-up bands for Uriah Heep, Slash and Iron Maiden.

One of their albums was nominated for the best ex-Yugoslavia album by the Belgrade national radio. They were also awarded two ''Zlati zidak'' [Golden brick] by [[RTV Slovenia]], one for their song Adieu and another for being the best group in Slovenia.
