A talk by artist Oto Rimele (Faculty of Education, University of Maribor) and a presentation of his book Spirituality of Material Absence
Due to continuous lack of professional workers in education the long awaited Maribor Academy of Education was finally established in 1961. The Academy was founded one decade before the University of Maribor, formally established in 1975. With the Bologna Process, the graduate and postgraduate programmes were adapted to changes in university teaching: the three-year BA, two-year MA, and three-year PhD programmes were fully introduced in 2010.
The student exchange at the Faculty is possible within the framework of ERASMUS/SOCRATES, Cmepius and national student and academic exchange. The Faculty co-operates with the Faculty of Arts with the International Society of Education through Arts (InSEA). As a part of the University of Maribor the faculty is involved in many international networks, including European Network of Academic Sport Services (ENAS) and The University Network of the European Capitals of Culture (UNEECC).
Culture.si offers information on Slovene cultural producers, venues, festivals and support services, all in one place. It encourages international cultural exchange in the fields of arts, culture and heritage. The portal and its content is owned and funded by the Ministry of Culture, funded by the European Union Recovery and Resilience Plan and developed by Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory.
