Launched in 1996 as a successor to the former Glasbena mladina (GL) magazine (1970-1996), [[Muska]] is a high-quality music magazine which contains interviews, articles on music theory, and concert, festival and CD news and reviews. Glasna magazine was launched in 2010 as a successor to the former Muska. Its content is more localised to domestic musical events and it is oriented mostly to articles on classical music. It presents Slovene composers, conductors, musicians, ensembles, choirs, etc. and delivers book and concert reviews.

Background

Glasna continues the Jeunesses Musicales International's tradition in the publishing of music periodicals. Glasna replaced Muska, a high-quality music magazine which covered many musical genres from rock to classical. Muska, however, was rooted in its predecessor Glasbena mladina (GL) magazine (1970–1996).
