The Jurij Slatkonja Music Conservatory, situated in Slovenia's Dolenjska region in Novo Mesto, is named after the 15th century Slovenian composer and conductor. Jurij Slatkonja was also the bishop of Vienna, which made him an influential person in the domain of religious music. The Music Conservatory primarily offers its students an art grammar school education as well as preschool music workshops and an elementary education in violin, piano, organ, flute and singing.
