The Jurij Slatkonja Music Conservatory, situated in Slovenia's Dolenjska region in Novo Mesto, is named after the 15th century Slovenian composer and conductor. Jurij Slatkonja was also the bishop of Vienna, which made him an influential person in the domain of religious music.
