The Kurja polt Horror Film Festival is a specialised competitive festival established in 2014, taking place at Slovenian Cinematheque and Kinodvor Cinema.

Thge 2016 edition features a selection of contemporary horror film production, a thematic retrospective The Last Girl, Hommage à H. R. Giger, etc. The accompanying programme comprises film critics and AV postproduction workshops, poster exhibitions and lectures.
