[[Litija Library]] was formerly known as Dr Slavko Grum Principal Library and formed part of the Institute for Education and Culture. Since 2004 it has operated as an independent institution comprising the main unit in Litija and (since 2007) a branch unit in Šmartno, plus a travelling library comprising a total area of 320 square metres, it provides users with access to a wide spectrum of literature and a reading room of 20 places. Internet and database access is available at computer terminals. Events relating to literature are organised regularly for children, young people and adults.
