The Little Golden Stick Awards are presented at the international biannual festival of theatre performances for children and youth, the Golden Stick Festival, founded by Theatre for Children and Youth. Since 2009 it has been organised by Ljubljana Puppet Theatre. The awards for best performance, best actress and best actor, and best director, as well as three awards for special artistic achievements are granted by an expert jury.

In 2009 the Koper Theatre's Naočnik and Očalnik performance, directed by Jaka Ivanc was awarded the best performance, Robert Waltl for the best director, Pia Zemljič for the best actress and Domen Valič for the best actor.
