In 1963 a 25 metre-high wooden tower was erected at Voličina in memory of General Maister-Vojanov. Then in 1981 the wooden tower was replaced by a new 17 metre-high metal panoramic tower. This tower was followed in 1985 by the refurbishment of the nearby Štupič Villa, in which General Maister-Vojanov used to spend his holidays. Restored and furnished in period style, it contains a thematic exhibition entitled General Maister-Vojanov – Soldier, Politician, Poet. The exhibition was renovated in 1999.
