Zagorje ob Savi Library was established in 1945 and from the outset had a reading room with 50 seats. In 1960 the Library was relocated to the newly-constructed Delavski dom Zagorje Cultural Centre. In 1994 it was enlarged to create a youth department and now has premises of 400 square metres. The library collection comprises around 59,000 units which are accessible to more than 3,000 registered readers. The library has branches at Kisovec and Izlake and runs various activities at the Cultural Centre.
