Pisana Loka Festival is a local summer festival taking place at various locations in Škofja Loka. It is annual august festival that started out in 2008, at first being quite a modest thing with a few concerts. Since then it has grown to be a ten packed days long event, encompassing music concerts, theatre, urban sports, stand-up comedy, childrens programme, film screenings and more. The name of the festival means Colourful Loka, which is an old way Škofja Loka was sometimes called, alluding to the charms of the town.

Made with urban reinvigoration in mind, Pisana Loka was at first a name just a for a few summer events in the city centre. In 2011, the festival organisation was handed over to Zavod O, a cultural association run by the local youth, and its ambitions noticeably rose. It started connecting the various local institutions, groups and actors, from the local skateboarders, the pensioners society, Ivan Tavčar Public Library, the scouts,
