Renovated in 1970 by the Ravne na Koroškem Unit of the Koroška Regional Museum, the architecture of the cottage reflects the traditional style of the Koroška region, which used wood as the main building material. The interior is furnished in a style reminiscent of the author's youth and showcases furniture, clothing, pictures, and other decorative items. Visitors can peruse the author's literary works and learn about his life. Next to the cottage stands a bronze memorial dedicated to Prežihov Voranc, designed by academic sculptor Stojan Batič.
A part of the collection documenting the life and literary endeavours of Prežihov Voranc is also on display in the Prežihov Voranc and Leopold Suhodolčan Memorial Room, located in Koroška Central Library Dr France Sušnik in Ravne na Koroškem.
