Established in 1956 to cover the south western part of the city, [[Prežihov Voranc Library]] is the newest public library in Ljubljana. The central unit is housed in modern and spacious premises at Ljubljana Vič, where material for all its branches is purchased and registered in the [[COBISS - Slovene Virtual Library]] system. In the travel section an extensive collection of travel books, travel and holiday guides and dictionaries is available, while the children's corner offers both educational and entertaining material for the youngest of visitors. The reading room holds more than 230 current Slovene and foreign newspapers and magazines. Named after the renowned Slovene author, Prežihov Voranc Library was established in 1956 to cover the south western part of the city.
