Sevnica Castle Puppet Theater was established in 2010 and is located at Sevnica Castle, which dates from the 12th century and lies approximately 85 km east of Ljubljana. It was founded jointly by puppet-maker, animator and scriptwriter Bernard Pungerčič, who acts as managing director, and stage director, actor and scriptwriter Snježana Pungerčič, who is the GLG's artistic director.

As well as performing a repertoire of puppet shows, half of which are based on traditional fairytales, it also organises a variety of workshops and seminars for children and adults.

Repertoire

The theatre's permanent repertoire comprises three shows based on traditional fairytales (The Ugly Duckling, Hansel and Gretel and The Three Little Pigs), and three shows written and devised by Bernard and Snježana Pungerčič: Cesarsko jabolko
